Easter is just around the corner, and Phnyx Fiber has decided to give everyone Easter eggs to celebrate the holiday! While we’d love to drop off brightly decorated eggs to everyone in our fiberhoods, that’s not exactly the kind of Easter egg we’re talking about. We’re talking about those hidden little treats that web, entertainment and software developers drop for anyone with a high-speed Internet connection to find. Here are eight of our favorite online Easter eggs!

1. “Do a Barrel Roll”

Our first one is a classic Google Easter egg and will give you a good twenty second break the next time you get bored at work. Simply type “do a barrel roll” into Google’s search bar and watch the fun!

2. Alexa speaks Shakespearean

Alexa, the virtual assistant living inside the Amazon Echo, is apparently well-versed in Shakespearean literature. Have fun with the following conversation:

3. Fun family finds in The Secret Life of Pets

Now that Netflix has released The Secret Life of Pets for streaming, you and your kids can have fun hunting for a handful of cleverly hidden Easter eggs. They may be more likely to spot the many Minions references throughout the movie, from a bedside figurine to Mel’s Halloween costume, while you’re more likely to appreciate the homage to choreographer Busby Berkeley during the sausage factory song-and-dance number.

4. Play PacMan in Google Maps

Search for a city or town in Google Maps and then look for the Pac Man icon at the bottom left of your screen. Click on it and you can actually play a round of Pac Man on the streets of the town you just searched for! This one really may even keep you occupied at work for more than twenty seconds.

5. IMDB makes it one louder

You’d think ten stars would indicate the highest rating on IMDB, but if you look up This is Spinal Tap you’ll see the rating scale goes all the way up to 11, referencing one of many classic jokes from the film.

6. Shoot hoops in Facebook Messenger

For those times when texting is too simple, Snapchat feels too complicated or you’re just trying to cut down on your mobile data… open Facebook Messenger to start a chat and send one of your friends the basketball emoji . Once sent you can both compete in a secret game of basketball to see who can make the most shots! Fair warning, it gets progressively more complicated after you make 10.

7. C-3PO and R2D2 on the Ark of the Covenant

Of course we saved the best for last! Pull up the classic Raiders of the Lost Ark and wait for the scene where Indy discovers the Ark of the Covenant. There are four pillars that support a small roof above the relic, and the pillars are covered in ancient hieroglyphics. If you look closely at the front left pillar you’ll see an image that is clearly a rendering of Star Wars droids C-3PO and R2D2!

8. That’s no moon, that’s a music station!

Apparently, the folks at Spotify are big Star Wars fans, too. Play the soundtrack for Star Wars: The Force Awakens and watch as the play bar turns into a light saber. To avoid interruptions during playback, make sure your high speed Internet can make the Kessel Run in 12 parsecs.
